The Way – Living the Beatitudes Today by Carl Beech

The Way - Living the Beatitudes Today by Carl Beech

The author Carl Beech is the UK Director of The Message Trust, a charity focused on reaching the hardest-to-reach young people with the message of Jesus. He is also president of Christian Vision for Men (CVM).

This is a short (about 100 pages) practical book on the Sermon on the Mount teachings of Jesus in Matthew 5-7. It is written in a very readable down to earth and humorous style, using short real life examples. However, it covers big life issues, such as being peacemakers, reconciliation, loving your enemies, forgiveness, pride, stopping the rot and being salt, blind spots (the plank and the splinter) and more.

Rated 5 stars on Amazon one reviewer commented that the book was “Personal yet applicable to life in general, real life, the way we live every day. If we take on board what Carl says about ‘The way’, which is not Carl’s way but Jesus’ way, we can not only transform our lives, but those around us.”
