Curious about faith?

Try Alpha this Autumn

Join a series of group conversations that freely explore the basics of the Christian faith in an open, friendly environment. At each Alpha session, you’ll be hosted in a small group and watch an episode on a different question of faith – then you have a chance to share your thoughts and hear what others think. You can say anything you like, or nothing at all.

Everyone’s welcome. You’re invited, no matter your background or beliefs. It’s free and there’s no pressure to come back.

Introduction to Alpha – Fish & chips Supper:

Tuesday 17th September

You’re invited to our Alpha Supper to enjoy a free ‘Fish & Chips’ meal followed by a short film on Tuesday 17th September at 7.30pm.  It will be a very relaxed evening and we’ll simply introduce the next Alpha Course with the film: Is there more to life than this?  You’ll also hear from a couple of people about what their faith means to them.  Without any obligation to sign up to the Alpha course – simply to enjoy food, friends and a film!

What is Alpha?

Alpha is a series of sessions exploring the Christian faith.  Over 6 weeks we will explore different questions around faith.

All sessions start with a time to connect, relax and build friendships – over drinks and cakes.

The Alpha talks are designed to engage and inspire conversation. Each one is around thirty minutes long and we watch them together on video.  They explore important issues around faith and unpack the basics of Christianity, addressing questions from Who is Jesus? and How can we have faith? to Why and how do I pray? and How does God guide us?

One of the most important parts of any Alpha is the chance to share thoughts and ideas in small groups. There’s no obligation to say anything and there’s nothing you can’t share (seriously). It’s an opportunity to hear from others and contribute your own perspective in an honest, friendly and open environment.
