Welcome to the Esher Green Baptist Church website!

All Christians are called to be disciples and all Christians are called to be disciple makers.
At Esher Green all that we do is focused on these two aims. We believe that the best way to be disciples who make disciples, is to focus on our relationship with God, one another and those who do not yet know Jesus. We often speak in terms of being authentic in these three areas.

To be authentic with God is at the heart of what it means to be a disciple. Anyone who wants to be a follower of Jesus must allow Him to take control in every area of their life. As we do this more and more we will see our lives transformed by Jesus.
Sharing life together as part of a worshiping community is, we believe, the best way to live. We want to see our love for one another deepen and grow. As our relationships deepen and become more authentic, our community of believers will be transformed.

We believe that through our lives and our community being transformed more into the image of Jesus Christ, we will be ‘light’ to the world around us and see those we engage being transformed through finding Jesus for themselves.

No matter what you turn up to, whether its church on a Sunday morning, Film Club, or Youth or Kid’s activities,
you will find a friendly face and a warm welcome.
We would love to meet with you.

We are delighted to announce that God has answered our prayers
for a new Pastor.
Ryan Ahern and his wife Val joined our church family on the 31st of March 2017. Ryan and Val come to us from Staplehurst Free Church in Kent where they have served for many years. We are excited to begin this chapter in the history of EGBC and honoured to have Ryan lead us into it.
‘We are so excited about being part of the community at Esher Green and to be joining of such a vibrant church family as EGBC!  We are looking forward to making many new friends – and working together within the community to be a force for good, as we see lives transformed through Jesus Christ.  We look forward to enjoying some great adventures together!
God bless you all and see you very soon.’

The Eldership

David Smith
The vision and direction of the church is provided by the Eldership.  The Pastor and the Elders are supported by aMinistry team, which looks after the day-to-day affairs of the church.  Besides these individuals, there are other members of the Esher Green fellowship looking after many different areas from finance and administration through to mid-week small groups.

We meet on Sunday mornings at 10.30am at 6 Park Road, Esher

Worship and The Word form the basis of our meeting together every Sunday. We seek to allow the Holy Spirit to speak into our lives as we try to understand and apply the Bible.
We love to make music together, worshiping God in song is a wonderful way to allow the Holy Spirit to minister.

A creche is available at our Sunday morning service  for babies and children under three.  All our creche helpers are experienced with children and have been CRB checked.

During our Sunday service, children aged 3 – 11 enjoy a time of games, worship, stories, craft and film clips, all used to explain and apply truths from the Bible.

Our 11-14’s meet on a Sunday morning during our main service to study the Bible in an interesting and relevant way.

Our 14-18’s stay in the main service on a Sunday morning with many of them serving in areas such as music, AV, welcome, kidschurch and creche.  On a Sunday evening they meet together and do all sorts of activities nearly all of which include food!!!!

Small groups provide a place to help people be authentic with one another. A space for deeper friendship and personal growth. They meet during the week at various locations. Currently we have groups meeting in Esher, Chessington, Cobham, Claygate, Fairmile, Hersham, Molesey and Thames Ditton.

From organised outings and group activities through to Bible studies, weekends away and short term overseas mission, we provide a programme to meet the social and spiritual needs of our 11 – 18’s
Our 11 – 14’s meet on a Friday evening for film nights, games nights, chill-out evenings and trips out.

Our Children have their own Small Group on a Friday evening, they look at the Bible in an age appropriate way as well as enjoy time together doing other fun stuff!

A friendly groups for parents or carers and their babies or toddlers.

Film Club is for anybody who likes films and popcorn! Every second Monday of the month at 7.30pm, we invite you to join us at no charge, to enjoy a film in comfort, with the added extra of staying on afterwards to share your views.

Art Club is for anyone who enjoys drawing or painting.  You do not have to be at any particular level as it is just a space for like minded people to come along and share together.  Art Club meets on a Friday morning at 10:00am and runs through to around 1pm.
