The Bible: A story that Makes Sense of Life by Andrew Ollerton
by John Bradley
If you are at all hazy on the events of the Bible, how things hang together or how the Old Testament is to be understood in the light of Christ, then this book is for you. Andrew provides an accessible outline and explanation of key Biblical moments. It’s written from an evangelical view of scripture, with an orthodox understanding of major themes and, although scholarly, is thoroughly accessible to most believers. The average reader will feel at ease in the author’s hands as he describes and explains the main biblical narratives with gentle humour and considerable skill.
If you have liked the Bible Course, you will like this as more than a reminder. Not for those though who don’t already have a positive acceptance of the scriptures.
